HISTORY
In 1967 recognizing the needs of small and medium size businesses as unique, Robert T. Haefele resigned from an international CPA firm to establish Haefele & Co., a sole proprietorship. In that year, the firm opened its offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. To meet the needs of its expanded practice, the firm relocated its offices to Haddonfield, New Jersey in 1969.
Francis J. Flanagan was recruited from an international CPA firm in 1983 to bolster the firm’s tax and business advisory services. Francis J. Flanagan passed away in 1997.
After a successful stint as a controller with a wholesale distribution company, James A. Rogers, Jr. resumed his public accounting career by joining the firm in 1985.
As a result of significant growth, the firm moved in 1986 to its present facility in Moorestown, New Jersey. In 1988, Thomas P. Fee, Jr. joined the firm. In 1990, the firm changed its name from Haefele & Co. to Haefele, Flanagan & Co., p.c.
In 1994, the firm was accepted as a member of CPA Associates International, Inc. CPA Associates International, Inc. is a consortium of select local, independent CPA firms with members in major cities in the United States, as well as international associates in over 30 countries around the world.
In July 1995, Arnold S. Page with extensive experience in the field of taxation merged his practice with the firm. This combination enhanced the quality and broadened the spectrum of the firm’s services.
Mary L. Gallagher joined the firm in March of 1991 with significant accounting and auditing experience. Her abilities helped expand the firm’s SEC services. She became a partner in October of 1998.
Today, Haefele Flanagan is a regional CPA firm. The firm provides audit, accounting, tax and management advisory services to a diversified clientele throughout the Middle Atlantic states. Haefele Flanagan maintains its principal offices in the Tall Oaks Corporate Center, 1000 Lenola Road, Moorestown, New Jersey.
